Earlier today, Audi unveiled its anticipated e-tron GT, and joining the company at its global premiere were its three new Storytellers singer and songwriter Janelle Monáe, fashion designer Stella McCartney, and actor Tom Hardy.

Hardy kicked off the livestream remotely from London, speaking about his longstanding relationship with the German automaker and his faith in the futuristic advancement of the e-tron GT and the impact it will have on the industry before introducing the electric car itself. Monáe picked up from there with a suiting performance of “Electric Lady” as the vehicle rolled out on stage, unveiling it for the very first time. McCartney then came in at a later stage of the show to speak about her shared interest with Audi in conservation and sustainability, as well as the shared usage of recycled materials in fashion and car manufacturing.

As part of the initiative, Hardy also featured in another video for Audi titled A Story of Progress, where he discussed his ideas on how to make the world a better place. “I think as human beings, by nature as a species, we are all flawed,” he said. “We have to constantly ask ourselves the uncomfortable questions. Is the world better for me having been in it? And if the last few years have taught me anything, it’s that rather than change the world to better suit our needs, how can we change ourselves to better suit the world that we all live in?” He went on to express his idea of the noble intention, remarking: “I believe that perfection is unattainable, but that doesn’t stop us from trying. And we should constantly be evolving, redefining, refining, predicting, analyzing, and adapting to whatever the world throws at us and in harmony with that world.”
