adidas' Ultra4D Gets Color-Blocked With "Core Black" Uppers and Vivid Accents
Another darker-toned rendition for the technical running silhouette.
adidas is known to have created two of the most impactful products the footwear landscape has ever seen in the Ultra Boost and FUTURECRAFT 4D cushioning, so it only makes sense why the German sportswear imprint would polymerize them. That’s where the adidas Ultra4D comes in, and after taking on a few collaborative projects, it’s further extending its GR catalog this season with a brand new “Core Black” colorway with louder accents.
Dark in complexion, this makeup requests for a solid black to swamp over Primeblue knit upper — a high-performing recycled material crafted alongside Parley Ocean Plastic — as well as the laces, caging and heel cups which host tonal Ultra4D text. From there, a bright blue tone is interwoven throughout the base, forms horizontal lines just beneath the cage and makes out the zig-zagged lines found on the toe boxes. Additionally, touches of pink direct their way to the tongue’s Three Stripes logos as well as the insole’s branded hits.
Latticed 4D soles continue the neutral-focused motif by also obtaining an all-black paint job. These are set to release on February 26, 2021 via adidas for the usual $200 USD.
