adidas has revealed the Spring/Summer 2021 trail running capsule from its Terrex line, introducing an all-new footwear silhouette designed with athlete Tom Evans. Despite working with an elite athlete, the collection features apparel and footwear designed for trail runners of all levels.

The collection is inspired by the motivations of achieving the “Fastest Known Time” — for people focusing on speed — and the “Fastest Own Time” for personal expression. The stand-out item is the Terrex Speed Ultra sneaker, which was designed with insights from Tom Evans. The sneaker, which ways just 240g, features a combination BOOST-Lightstrike midsole for lightweight responsiveness, a see-through upper for breathability and a bolstered outsole with grip inspired by gravel road bike tires.

Alongside the footwear, the SS21 collection introduces a range of Agravic apparel for trail runners. This includes lightweight and rain-resistant coats and trousers, as well as a race-ready tee made from Parley Ocean Plastic Yarn and shorts designed for warm-weather running.

The SS21 collection from adidas Terrex is due to release on March 1.

For more from adidas, the label recently released a new adilette sandal.
