adidas‘ classic adilette slide is a staple of many a spring and summer footwear rotation, and now the Trefoil has upgraded it by creating the aptly-named New adilette sandal. Retaining the adilette’s original footbed but adding straps to the upper for a more supportive fit and feel, the New adilette also serves as an accessable follow-up to Pharrell and adidas Originals‘ popular adilette 2.0 sandals.

Debuting in a simple “Cloud White” colorway, the New adilette uses a two-strap system to lock the wearer’s heel into place. The forefoot strap draws inspiration from the OG adilette, but adds two straps of its own to increase fit and functionality. Branding is largely kept to a minimum, with a single “Core Black” Trefoil graphic on the ankle strap. Footbeds add a black adidas graphic of their own, and EVA foam midsoles supply embossed tonal branding towards the heel. Standard outsoles complete the look.

The adidas New adilette is set to release on the adidas UK webstore come February 28. It’s priced at £55 GBP (approximately $77 USD).
