CURLY FW21 Infuses Rugged Layers With Minimalist Cool
The Japanese label imagines slick, high-end adventurewear.

CURLY‘s seasonal collections have always skewed towards the functional, with plenty of denim and weatherproof outerwear layered above its signature sweaters. The Japanese label’s Fall/Winter 2021 offering is no less reliable, packed with cozy, insulating garments cut to flatter rather than obscure.
Serving up another round of items made to the highest standard of quality in its own factories, CURLY’s usual clean silhouettes are on full display. The Japanese brand has slightly loosened its designs, anchoring the patchwork sweaters, boxy overshirts, coaches jackets and technical anoraks with relaxed, cropped and occasionally tapered pants executed in warm wools and cotton jersey. Water-fighting parkas and quilted mid-layers provide necessary weather resistance, given an air of organic flavor by way of accessories like leather-strapped bags.
Elsewhere, HYPEBEAST recently previewed a variety of seasonal looks from other Japanese imprints that include VEIN, South2 West8, JULIUS and Mountain Research.
