adidas Handball Spezial TR Returns in "Black/Collegiate Green"
The classical Three Stripes silhouette gets reworked for the hiking trails.
adidas is known to possess a wide array of classic silhouettes that are often associated with football fanatics, one being the Handball Spezial. And while this model is more so known to fit in the street style category, it has been reworked into a brand new four-toned colorway to walk the trails.
Fittingly entitled the adidas Handball Spezial TR (trail), the low-cut offering adopts many of the identical base layer materials as its original including the overlapping suede materials and leather side walls. Most of its visual composition is dialed to black, but darker accents of forest green and burgundy also stand out, the former wrapping the heel overlay and stripes while the latter tumbles onto the tongues and toe tips. Alongside this, creamy-yet-shaggy suedes hug the throat and rear end panels.
Down below is where its exploration-ready elements come in. Midsoles are executed with stark black midsoles towards the front and back, and sandwich an ivory-colored section that’s dressed with fence-like patterns in between. Rigged treading is borrowed from the adidas Marathon TR model so that wearers have ample traction when zooming through the trails.
