ALIFE Gives the Saucony Shadow 6000 a Colorful New York-Tinged Makeover
Releasing December 18.
ALIFE and Saucony‘s relationship dates back over 10 years, producing pairs such as that “Jazz Shadow” in 2009 and a colorful take on the Jazz ‘91 back in 2016, and now the duo is back together for a take on the Shadow 6000.
As the shoe celebrates its 30th anniversary, which has resulted in Saucony x Saucony collaborations and various reworks, it seems that ALIFE hasn’t held back on its collaborative take. Comprising a white mesh upper base, the pair is overlayed with white suede on the toe box — where red ALIFE branding can be found — and more white suede working the mid-panels.
Yellow suede hits up the eyestay placket before green and orange suede work their way towards the heel section, which is finished in metallic silver leather. Here, “New” and “York” are stamped onto the heels, while more of the same leather has been used for the Shadow 6000’s signature piece of mid-panel branding.
Rounding out the pair is a white suede tongue that’s graced with dual-branding on the tongue tag and a red leather interior, while a final touch of gum rubber for the grippy outsole completes the package.
Take a look at the ALIFE x Saucony Shadow 6000 above, and expect it to drop at Saucony and retailers such as Asphalt Gold on December 18 for €149 EUR (approximately $168 USD).
