UNDERCOVER Releases Its Fall/Winter '21 Collaboration With 'Evangelion'

UNDERCOVER is on quite the hot streak right now when it comes to its striking collaborations as it recently uncovered its trifecta of Nike LDWaffles with sacai, an extensive apparel capsule with GU and a cheeky Helmut Hot Dog Man Lamp with Will Sweeney and Medicom Toy. However, the Japanese imprint helmed by Jun Takahashi just released arguably its most anticipated collection of the year: the FW21 collaboration with Evangelion.
First previewed back in March during the brand’s FW “Creep Very” runway show, the 88-piece capsule creates a perfect balance between fashion and cosplay. Headlining the collection are the assortment of puffers, all of which are dressed in color palettes that mimic the EVA units in the animated series. Other outerwear pieces to note include that of the parka style jackets that are cooked up with hoods are designed with light-up eyes and forehead horns, as well as the bomber jackets, trench coats and ponchos that are adorned with black and white graphics from the show. Other notable garments include that of the wide range of graphic crewneck sweatshirts and tees, gloves that feature robot-like molds on the exteriors, clunky snow boots that are bolstered with Vibram soles and more.
The entire assemblage is now available to purchase on the UNDERCOVER site, but be prepared to shell out a substantial amount of cash as the pieces range from ￥31,185-¥816,750 ($273 USD-7,149 USD).
