In the space of footwear, there are a handful of heavy hitters in the industry that sneakerheads are continuously watching when it comes to their collaborations, and there’s no question that Chitose Abe is one of those designers. Through her contemporary label sacai, she’s been able to capture the hearts of many with her unique double-layered design language that’s she’s executed with Nike on many occasions now, and her arsenal is slated to extend even further with a trio of Nike LDWaffle colorways that are made alongside fellow Japanese streetwear label UNDERCOVER.

This three-way collaboration is an extension of her late Summer/Fall 2021 streak as she has already dropped off her LDWaffle capsules with the likes of fragment design and CLOT. Out of the three projects, this initiative with UNDERCOVER is the only pack that features a trifecta of new colorways. “Bright Citron,“University Red” and “Team Royal” installments are on deck, each of which is styled with bold and bright accents and come dressed with neutral-toned overlays. What separates these iterations from the previous two assemblages is that the text branding now arrives on the heels of the lipped-out midsoles.

No release date has been confirmed just yet, but it’s likely that these could be dropping towards the tail end of October via Nike and other retailers for $160 USD a pop.

Previously, Nike showed off its new fleecy Burrow Slipper.
