notwoways' OG Sneaker Returns in Vibrant "saphfire" Colorway

The London-based emerging sneaker label notwoways has returned for Fall/Winter 2021, re-introducing its OG silhouette that debuted in August last year with a new take, dubbed “saphfire.”

Last year’s “exuberance” iteration kicked off notwoways’ sell-out success, and this silhouette now appears in a mixture of “Coastal Blue/notwoways Orange/Sapphire/Ice.” The brand’s usual level of attention to detail remains, seeing the pair decked in various textures of suede and nubuck alongside mesh, nylon, and webbing materials, while hidden touches such as a new paisley pattern under the tongue only add to the brand’s premium feel.

Founder Callum McGinley and the Creative Director Rockwell Princely designed the “saphfire” pair following a seeding experiment that saw 14 pairs of ntw shoes sent to fans, resulting in thousands of responses telling the brand what they’d like to see next. This colorful version features plenty of quintessential ntw touches, from the branding on the mid-panel and tongue to the rope laces and the multi-layered upper.

As the duo previously told HYPEBEAST, notwoways is also a sustainably-minded brand. For the new pair, you’ll find a new midsole partially formed by recycled bottle caps and thicker laces made from recycled fishing nets sitting alongside the usual sustainable elements that frequent ntw’s work.

And lastly, the “saphfire” will retail for just £100 GBP (approximately $137 USD), which is sure to make the pair sell out as per usual. Available in sizes UK 3 to UK 13, notwoways’ “saphfire” will drop online in limited quantities on November 1, at 6 p.m. GMT/1 p.m. ET.
