This Custom Mercedes-AMG G63 Brabus 800 Widestar Takes Utilitarian Travel to New Extremes
And it just sold for $425,000 USD.
A 2021 Mercedes-AMG G 63 that has been not just converted by Brabus into an 800 Widestar, but has also received a host of utilitarian upgrades, has just sold on the auction site Bring a Trailer for what could be considered a steal.
As per a Brabus 800 Widestar upgrade, the G-Wagon now sees its four-liter twin-turbo V8 engine produce 800 HP and 712 lb-ft of torque, sent to all four wheels via a nine-speed AMG Speedshift TCT transmission, dual-range transfer case, and sequential lockable front, center, and rear differentials. All of this means that the G 63 can tackle pretty much anything that’s thrown at it, while the 20” forged wheels that are wrapped in BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires will only help you accomplish offroading feats.
Furthermore, the car features a custom Brabus exhaust system, a lifted suspension, carbon fiber exterior and interior trim — notably working the rear wheel cover, auxiliary light cover, and the wide wheel arches among plenty more components — while additional equipment includes a push bar equipped with a Brabus winch, a carbon fiber hood, a rear-mounted ladder and a metal grooved roof rack fitted with a shovel, a Fiskars axe, and a quartet of LED lights on the aforementioned roof section.
Inside, the car has not been given the full Brabus treatment but various carbon elements have been added to let you know what kind of machine you’re driving. Altogether, this customized SUV goes to show the extent of Brabus’ customization program, which totaled an original RRP of $440,000 USD.
