Up Close With UNDERCOVER's Collaborative 30th Anniversary Down Jackets

Revealed in late 2020, UNDERCOVER has now introduced a complete look at its collaborative 30th anniversary leather sleeve down jackets. Created in partnership with peers sacai, Kolor, fragment design, TAKAHIROMIYASHITA TheSoloist. and N.HOOLYWOOD, the jackets all take a different tact to exploring the same style of garment.
As teased in the early imagery, the collaboration unites all five labels for six distinct pieces of outerwear, including a no-frills reproduction of UNDERCOVER’s original creation. Here, sacai designer Chitose Abe infuses the garment with its trademark mash-up sensibilities by infusing the body with a knit riders jacket — complete with adjustable belt — and “KEEP MAKING NOISE!!!” text on the quilted lining. Meanwhile Abe’s husband Junichi takes the remix style a step further with Kolor‘s sporty hybrid jacket, complete with stylized “30th Anniversary” text on the rear.
TAKAHIROMIYASHITA TheSoloist. opts for a more adventurous option, affixing goggles and gloves to the already-insulated layering piece, while N.HOOLYWOOD continues the transformative motif with a collapsible hood and parka-like body. Finally, fragment design keeps things simple by stamping its lightning bolt emblem onto the rear of the neck.
