Hot Wheels Celebrates NASA's Mars Perseverance Rover In New Die-Cast Release
Gearing up for the actual rover’s Jezero Crater landing this February 18.
If you’re a fan of Hot Wheels, then you already know its long-standing relationship with NASA. Started in the 1980s, Hot Wheels has helped put out, in toy car form, some of NASA‘s most coveted expeditions and missions — like the classic five JPL/NASA Action Packs from 1997-1999 (JPL Sojourner Mars Rover, Apollo Mission, JLP Returns to Mars, Galileo Mission, to name a few).
This time around, the two names are back again for a special take on a die-cast Mars Perseverance Rover vehicle. The 1:64-scale replica is set to commemorate the actual rover’s landing on Mars’ Jezero Crater this coming February 18. The partnership continues a tradition that’s meant to inspire the entire world and future explorers to “forge new paths and make discoveries on which the next generation can build.”
Priced at $1.09 USD, the NASA x Hot Wheels Mars Perseverance Rover die-cast vehicle is available now at all Hot Wheels retailers.
