Disney+ Announces 'The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers' Release Date in First Official Trailer
A new team is on the rise.
More than a year after the project was first announced, Disney has finally given fans a release date for the upcoming Mighty Ducks revival: The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers.
A sequel to the original film from 1992, the new Disney+ series follows a young boy in Minnesota named Evan who gets kicked out of the Mighty Ducks — which is no longer the underdogs and have now become a strong competitive hockey team — and with the help and encouragement of his mother begins to build his own team, inviting a group of unconventional players to join him. In the process. they stumble upon Coach Bombay, who decides to dive back into the world of competitive hockey and help the group of misfits on their adventure.
Returning to the series is Emilio Estevez, who reprises his role as Coach Gordon Bombay three decades after the original movie. He’s joined by teen actor Brady Noon, who’ll portray the role of young Evan, and Gilmore Girls actress Lauren Graham as Evan’s mother, and Alex. The series is set to premiere on the streaming platform on March 26, with the first season featuring 10 episodes that come out weekly.

Elsewhere in entertainment, HBO Max is reportedly working on an animated Game of Thrones series.
