Crush Lag With These New ASUS 'Gundam' Wireless Gaming Routers
With a “Mobile Gaming Mode” for smartphone and tablet gaming.

ASUS has just released two Mobile Suit Gundam-themed gaming routers. Taking inspiration from both the RX-78-2 and the Zaku II, the two routers are for serious gamers looking for a reliable, fast wireless connection.
Starting with the RT-AX82U GUNDAM EDITION, this router features four external antennae, next-gen wireless LAN standard WiFi 6 (802.11ax) support, AiMesh compatibility, a 1.5GHz triple-core Broadcom 6750 CPU, 256MB flash/512MB RAM memory, and an ultra-high-speed transfer rate of up to 574Mbps. Kicking it up a notch is the Zaku II “Char Aznable” RT-AX86U router with all the features mentioned above but with an increased 1.8GHz quad-core Broadcom 4908 CPU, 256MB flash/1GB RAM memory, and an even faster communication rate of 861Mbps. Both routers also have a “Mobile Game Mode” that is specifically made for gaming with your smartphone or tablet, lowering latency and reducing lag.
