Bandai Namco Filmworks has confirmed that the highly anticipated anime Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX‑ZERO will officially launch in April 2027 across Japan and North America.
Set nearly a century before the events of Gundam Rogue Orbit, the anime explores humanity’s struggle to survive in a radically altered world, while redefining Gundam outside the Universal Century and Common Era timelines. The story centers on Ray Azumi, a young orphan who awakens on the lunar surface to become the pilot of the Gundam ZERO (model number XARX-0).
As part of the ambitious RG Project, the series is directed by Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Star Wars: Visions) and animated by SOLA ANIMATION.
