Kid Cudi-Starring 'We Are Who We Are' Drops First Trailer
A coming of age story in an American military base in Italy.
Luca Guadagnino — whose previous works include the Oscar-winning Call Me by Your Name — is making his television debut over on HBO with the upcoming eight-episode series We Are Who We Are, and the first trailer for the show has just been released.
The show itself is set in an American military base in Veneto, Italy, and stars Jack Dylan Grazer, Kid Cudi, Chloë Sevigny, Alice Braga, and Jordan Kristine Seamon. It follows the coming of age story of the 14-year-old Fraser Wilson (Grazer), who finds himself moving from New York to the military base with his two mothers Sarah (Sevigny) and Maggie (Braga), both serving the U.S. Army. There, he develops a close friendship with Caitlin Harper (Seamon), who has already been at the base for a few years because of her brother and father (Cudi). Harper also identifies as transgender and undertakes steps to transition from female to male, while looking up to Sarah.
Check out the trailer above as you wait for Guadagnino’s We Are Who We Are to arrive on HBO September 14.
