Closer Look: 7 MONCLER x fragment design x Converse Chuck 70 Ox
Check out the coding-inspired branding, tuxedo-like details, and the signature stamps.
The three-way collaboration between 7
7 MONCLER head Hiroshi Fujiwara has previously teased the shoes, and we’ve also recently received an official look at the Chuck 70 Ox pack which did not reveal too much in its campaign. This time around, we’ve gotten up close with the sneakers to show off the tuxedo-inspired details, its collaboration-specific tweaks, and the signature design cues all around each pair.
Both shoes are the same in style and design, sporting either a “Black/White” or “White/Black” colorway. They feature exaggerated foxing that runs all around the shoe, which serves as the base for coding-styled branding noting the collaborators’ names.
Elsewhere, we see a license plate that combines the fragment design stamp and moniker with traditional Converse Chuck Taylor branding, a leather heel tab that’s graced with 7 MONCLER and fragment design logos, and a small details such as a rectangular stitched patch on the lateral side.
The black pair features contrast stitching that better highlights the individual components of the sneaker, most notably making the canvas eyestay, collar and tongue stand out. Rounding out both pairs is the insole design, which is once again a space for more branding.
Both colorways of the 7 MONCLER x fragment design x Converse Chuck 70 Ox will release on September 3 at stockists such as HBX for $135 USD each. Take a closer look at them above.
