Are Plakolm's Slippers The Platonic Ideal of Lockdown Footwear?
The footwear you didn’t know you needed.
Thanks to the amount of time we’ve had to spend at home in 2020, the amount of people doubling down comfortable footwear has soared. From Reebok’s Beatnik to Suicoke’s Pepper Slip-Ons and, of course, any Birkenstocks, the rise of the slipper has been astronomical this year.
Now though, as we head towards the time of year where warmth and comfort play key factors in our footwear choice, Austrian label Plakolm has made its mark. Crafted at the brand’s alpine headquarters, the brand has unveiled its array of Austrian Hut Slippers made from local sheep’s wool, all aboard a sturdy leather sole.
Cross-stitched together by hand, these foot warmers are as practical as they cosy, thanks to their easy-to-roll design which also makes them the ideal choice for when you’re on the move this winter.
Arriving in navy, grey and black, Plakolm’s Austrian Hut Slippers are available now from the Outsiders Store and retail at £35.00 (approximately $45 USD).
