'One Piece' and Kappa's Second Collaboration Yields Layering Pieces for Luffy, Hancock and Law
The Fall/Winter 2020 offering even includes special bookmarks for manga readers.
This spring’s debut collaboration hybridized the worlds of One Piece and Kappa by blending familiar iconography with easygoing sportswear layers. Fall/Winter 2020 sees the duo rejoin for another co-branded range, encompassing a brief assortment of goods laden with the visage of protagonist Luffy, Law and Boa Hancock.
A set of white, beige, red, grey and black hoodies leads the range, graced with an image Luffy wearing a classic Kappa track suit and his signature straw hat. Another set of hoodies and tees feature the One Piece anime’s memorable pre-credits “TO BE CONTINUED” graphic and Hancock wearing a stylized Kappa dress or Law showcasing some Kappa-branded trousers, all realized atop matching single-tone colors and accented by Kappa-taped sleeves.
Accompanying the wearables is a special bookmark tag packaged in a faux Shonen Jump sleeve, an ideal accessory for anyone attempting to keep up with the long-running manga series.
On September 18, the collection will hit Japanese stockists like Kappa Japan’s website, Avex Japan’s web store and the dedicate One Piece site.
Kappa recently presented an inclusive selection of looks for its in-house FW20 range.
