Long a pillar of the Japanese skate scene, Instant Skateboards is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a new Nike SB Dunk Low collaboration. Although the style has been teased for months, this set of official Nike images marks our first fully authentic, thorough look at it — and in short, there’s a lot of detail to be had here.

On the forefoot, tan mudugards and metallic silver toeboxes provide a look that’s half industrial and half earthy. In an interesting twist the toe cap features an extra layer of material with a small blue Swoosh, enhancing both durability and detail.

Moving back to the midfoot, you can see a wide swath of sky blue leather, a simple-yet-effective material choice. This is contrasted by a black Swoosh with yellow stitching. Tongues and laces are both done up in black, and the former presents a multi-colored, co-branded tag.

Heels serve up the shoe’s signature detail: a brown and grey dog, placed in front of crossbones-style skate trucks. Insoles get in on the action as well with multiple prints, while tan midsoles and black outsoles round off the style.

The Instant Skateboards x Nike SB Dunk Low is tentatively scheduled for a September 19 release date, though this has yet to be officially confirmed by Nike.
