'Fortnite' Pays Tribute to Chadwick Boseman With 'Black Panther' Statue
Further adding fuel to the rumor that a ‘Black Panther’ skin will available in-game soon.
Fortnite is honoring the late Chadwick Boseman with an in-game Black Panther statue.
The monument, named Panther’s Prowl, can be found next to Misty Meadows and is a new map location that coincides with the game’s Chapter 2 – Season 4 Marvel Nexus crossover. Several treasure chests can be found on the ground and in the mouth of the tall statue, and a video uploaded by Reddit user TheRazoredEdge shows two players paying their respects to Boseman by not fighting each other.
Although Epic Games already confirmed that the addition of Panther’s Prowl was planned before Boseman’s death, the monument is further adding fuel to the rumor that a Black Panther skin will be made available soon.
Boseman died on August 28 after a four-year battle with colon cancer. Several Marvel stars have paid tribute to the actor, with Black Panther co-star and friend Michael B. Jordan penning a personal tribute that read, “‘Is this your king!?’ Yes . he . is!”
