UPDATE (October 3, 2020): After a first look at the sneaker emerged recently, A-COLD-WALL* has now confirmed that the Chuck Taylor All-Star Lugged “Carbon” will release via its web store on October 5. The sneaker will release simulatenously around the world, meaning it will be available in New York at 9AM EST, London at 2PM BST and Los Angeles at 6AM EST. For a full release schedule, head over to the A-COLD-WALL* site.

ORIGINAL STORY (September 28, 2020): Converse and A-COLD-WALL* have followed up their neutral iteration of the Chuck Taylor All-Star Lugged with an all-black colorway next to drop next week.

The silhouette, which first debuted at ACW’s SS20 runway at London Fashion Week last year, appeared alongside a full range of apparel. This iteration takes artistic inspiration from rare earth elements and the powerful natural forces of erosion and fossilization, while utilizing premium materials and stylish distressing.

Taking further notes from the UK’s underground street culture and vivid landscapes, each sneaker fuses the worlds of basketball, brutalist architecture and natural environments, with fine tailoring and precise construction. Arriving in a rugged black nylon, each sneaker is completed with a reflective zig-zag stitching all on a thick rubber outsole.

The latest all-black Converse x A-COLD-WALL* Chuck Taylor Lugged sneaker is set to drop on October 8 via the Converse webstore, retailing from $160 USD.

In related news, ACW’s Samuel Ross spoke to HYPEBEAST exclusively about their collaboration with Converse.
