'Resident Evil Village' Plunges You Into a Nightmare With New Cinematic Trailer
Arriving next year for the PlayStation 5.
Along with the array of PlayStation 5 announcements from Sony, Capcom has released a second cinematic trailer for the upcoming Resident Evil Village, drawing fans deeper into its terrifying world.
Now at its the 10th major installment of the massively-popular Resident Evil franchise, Resident Evil Village is a sequel to Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, set a few years after the events of its predecessor. According to Capcom’s associate manager of social media and community Kellen Haney, players will take on the role of Ethan, who goes onto a journey seeking answers to Chris Redfield’s shocking actions after the “unexpected yet familiar face makes an appearance, setting off a chain of events.” Ethan ultimately finds Chris in a “mysterious village” set in Europe, where — as the trailer suggests — nightmarish events haunt you into a fight for survival.
Capcom’s Resident Evil Village will release for Sony’s PlayStation 5 some time in 2021.
Elsewhere in gaming, a new Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War trailer sheds light on its campaign gameplay.
