Alienware Brings 360Hz Refresh Rates to Gaming Laptops
Equipping both the Area-51m R2 and M17 R3 with the technology.

Earlier this year in January, NVIDIA debuted its 360Hz refresh rate technology for PC displays, and now Alienware is bringing the innovation to the mobile world by upgrading two of its most popular gaming laptops: the Area-51m R2 and the M17 R3.
Both laptops will now support 360Hz FHD panels, making them perfect for both Esports or competitive players. The M17 R3 will be running Intel’s 10th Gen Core H and HK series, up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER 8GB GDDR6 graphics card, 4TB of SSD storage, and 32GB DDR4 2666MHz RAM, while the Area-51m R2 will be equipped with 10th Gen Intel Core i9 CPUs, the same GPU as the M17 R3, also 4TB of SSD storage, and a higher RAM of 64GB Dual Channel DDR4 at 2933MHz.
Since the debut of 360Hz refresh rates during CES this year, numerous gaming monitors now offer this feature, including a new release from Alienware itself, but the gaming brand is one of the first to offer this technology in a laptop.
For those interested, Alienware’s M17 R3 and Area-51m R2 are now available over on Dell’s website, starting at $1,600 USD and $2,300 USD respectively.
Elsewhere in tech, Land Rover has released a robust smartphone for outdoor enthusiasts, inspired by its own Defender.
