Teddy Santis Reveals Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 1300 Collaboration
Two crisply-colorblocked classics from the buzzy New York brand and the heritage New England shoemaker.

Aimé Leon Dore founder Teddy Santis has taken to his Instagram to reveal a fresh collaboration with New Balance: two takes on the 1300. One style is dressed in a rich forest green while the other takes on a chalky pink, but both serve up a healthy dose of ALD’s elevated athleisure style, and serve as a more muted follow-up to ALD and NB’s 827s from March.
Uppers are built from a supple suede, which lays atop a sporty mesh. Both pairs keep the base tonal and use the midfoot N logos and heel pieces to add contrast — silver and white on the former, navy blue on the latter. Each tongue is made of eggshell white foam and features a large tag with a Unisphere graphic inspired by Santis’s hometown of Queens, New York. Bone-colored heel counters and ENCAP midsoles complete each look.
A release date hast yet to be announced, but the Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 1300 will continue a busy 2020 for the old-school runner, which has also released in an ultra-premium made-in-Japan iteration and served as the centerpiece of an “Orange Tab” collaboration with Levi’s.
