Reebok Question Celebrates 25 Years with 'Beyond Question' Zine
A detailed profile of the legacy behind Allen Iverson’s first — and most famous — signature sneaker.
It’s been 25 years since Allen Iverson and Reebok took the world of basketball footwear by storm with the Question. To celebrate a quarter century of AI’s first signature silhouette and the return of its OG “Red Toe” colorway later this month, Reebok has prepped a Beyond Question zine that provides a detailed profile of the legacy behind Allen Iverson’s first — and most famous — signature sneaker.
Exploring untold stories of Iverson’s rise to superstardom and the design process behind the Question, Beyond Question is both fan service for long-time AI lovers and a primer for the next generation of hoopers. Interviews with figures from Iverson’s formative years like high school coach/manager Gary Moore and Question designer Scott Hewett are contrasted with the creatives/players he inspired like designer Eric Emanuel, photographer Quil Lemons and Los Angeles Clippers forward Montrezl Harrell. This paints a potent picture of the pugnacious Philadelphia 76ers guard and NBA Hall of Famer.
Beyond Question can be read in its entirety via Issuu, and Reebok is raffling off a limited run of 75 printed copies — some of which are signed by Iverson himself. Proceeds from the raffle benefit BOKS, a physical activity program that was founded to help underserved youth get active and establish a lifelong commitment to health and fitness. Prices are set at $10 USD for one ticket, $20 USD for five tickets and $50 USD for 10 tickets.
