Supreme Teases 'The Smurfs' FW20 Collaboration (UPDATE)
The new collection and lookbook are due very soon.
UPDATE (August 12, 2020): Supreme is no stranger to unconventional collaborations. And still, who could have predicted that the legendary skatewear brand would join forces with Belgian comic franchise The Smurfs?
Ahead of the Fall/Winter 2020 lookbook and collection imagery rollout, Supreme has offered a peek at two upcoming items (technically three, if you count the tee peeking out of the rear). A matching denim jacket and pants feature dark indigo as the base, with white contrast stitching to match the stark Smurfs rendering on the trousers’ rear pocket. Above, Supreme’s logo is realized in a chunky, cartoonish Smurfs typeface, presumably accented by more thematic detailing.
Expect Supreme to offer another angle of The Smurfs items shortly.
ORIGINAL STORY (August 10, 2020): It’s that time of year again. Even amidst the world’s turbulent happenings, you can count on Supreme to deliver its seasonal teasers like clockwork. Ahead of Fall/Winter 2020, the stalwart skate brand has issued a singular first look at the new collection.
The photograph uploaded to Supreme’s Instagram on August 10 offers even less than some of its recent teaser imagery, which usually granted a peek at multiple statement pieces. Instead, the centerpiece is a white furry hooded jacket, elevated with gradating blue streaks beneath an appliqué Supreme script logo. The outerwear is layered over an orange T-shirt and earth-toned trousers, which appear to offer a relaxed cut and D-ring-like hardware.
Expect Supreme to release more information about Fall/Winter 2020, including product and lookbook imagery, later this month.
Overseas, London’s Palace hinted at a forthcoming adidas collaboration.
