Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Will Add Project xCloud Game Streaming to Subscription
At no additional cost.

In addition to bundling Xbox Live and Xbox Game Pass for console and PC, Microsoft announced that Project xCloud will arrive on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Starting in September, the $14.99 USD per month subscription service will offer Microsoft’s cloud-based streaming technology that allows users to play Xbox Game Pass games on smartphones and tablets at no additional costs.
Project xCloud was formally announced in October 2018 and available for public testing since September 2019 in certain countries. So far, access to Project xCloud is limited to the U.S., Canada, South Korea, the U.K., and “many countries in western Europe,” according to an FAQ on Xbox’s website. The streaming service so far is only compatible with Android phones and tablets, but recently a limited test version of xCloud has been available for iOS devices since February.
“With cloud gaming in Game Pass Ultimate, you will be able to play over 100 Xbox Game Pass titles on your phone or tablet,” head of Xbox Phil Spencer said in a blog post. “And because Xbox Live connects all across devices, you can play along with the nearly 100 million Xbox Live players around the world. So when Halo Infinite launches, you and your friends can play together and immerse yourselves in the Halo universe as Master Chief—anywhere you go and across devices.”
