J Balvin and Takashi Murakami Prep Second Smiling Flower Capsule Collaboration
Celebrating “Rojo” and “Amarillo” from ‘Colores.’
With one instantly-sold-out collection under their belts, J Balvin and Takashi Murakami have rejoined for a second collaborative effort. Far more attainable than Ben Baller’s lavish floral jewelry, the second round of smiling flower-laden casualwear is indebted to “Rojo” and “Amarillo,” two standout tracks from Colores.
The bold collection of T-shirts and hoodies is emblazoned with Murakami’s unmistakable grinning artwork and thematic graffiti-style text that appropriately reads “Rojo,” “Amarillo” or “J Balvin.” Yellow and red wearables are complemented by black variants, for those seeking something somewhat more conservative, and the colorful flowers grace the front and back of the garments for heightened visibility. In line with the first drop, the new goods will be exclusive to JOYCE in Hong Kong, but they’ll also launch online.
J Balvin and Murakami’s latest capsule launches July 17 on JOYCE NOW.
Most recently, Balvin channeled his youthful side for Louis de Guzman figures that commemorate 20 years of SpongeBob SquarePants.
