UNO Taps Keith Haring for Latest Artiste Series Deck
112 cards finished with the late artist’s instantly-recognizable work.
Mattel has tapped the American artist Keith Haring for the latest installment of UNO‘s Artiste Series. The special-edition deck introduces a range of customized cards, each sporting a design that’s synonymous with Haring’s work and signature aesthetic.
The instantly-recognizable artworks have been used to also slightly change the rules of the card game. Now, players can match cards by color, number, or by the art found on their card.
This is the second installment in the Artiste Series, following on from UNO’s limited-edition collaborative pack that featured artworks by Jean-Michael Basquiat. For the Keith Haring edition, UNO creates an art-forward deck that spotlights the bright graffiti and underground-inspired pieces the artist is known for, taken from the archives of The Keith Haring Foundation.
The Keith Haring Foundation honors the legacy of Keith Haring and his art. Furthermore, it acts upon his ideals by supporting not-for-profit organizations that assist children, and also assists organizations in the education, prevention, and care of AIDS.
The 112-card UNO Artiste Series No. 2: Keith Haring deck is priced at $19.99 USD and can be purchased from the Macy’s website now.
