'Top Gun' and Transformers Collide for Maverick Figure
From robot to Northrop Grumman F-14 Tomcat.
To celebrate the December 23 release of Top Gun: Maverick, Hasbro and Paramount Pictures have come together to create a Top Gun and Transformers collaboration.
Maverick, not to be confused with Captain Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, is Transformers collaboration mash-up robot centered around the iconic Northrop Grumman F-14 Tomcat jet from the original film.
The Autobot stands seven inches tall in robot mode and converts to its fighter jet mode in 25 steps. Maverick’s transformable design features folding jet wings, movie-inspired details, including a helmet design inspired by Top Gun: Maverick and includes 4 missile accessories. Other accessories include a screen-inspired miniature motorcycle and alternate hands that can hold the included volleyball accessory. The packaging of the figure is also inspired by the look of an aircraft carrier.
Priced at $50 USD, the Top Gun x Transformers Maverick figure is available now for pre-order on Hasbro Pulse.
In case you missed it, Hasbro has launched crowdfunding for a 26-inch X-Men Sentinel figure.
