clothsurgeon Looks to the '60s and '70s for SS20 Collection
Mixing references to the Summer of Love with the Space Race.

Following on from its latest project with Champion, London-based label clothsurgeon has released its full Spring/Summer 2020 collection. Titled “It’s a Lie,” the collection is influenced by the 1960s and ’70s, a time that featured the Summer of Love as well as moon landing and the Space Race.
Looking at these two realities living side by side, clothsurgeon mixes natural fabrics and silhouettes with modern technical fabrics. A key references to the ’60s is the selection printed silk items with a daisy print, which includes shirts, shorts and tailoring.
Elsewhere, the SS20 collection features a capsule of reworked vintage Levi’s denim pieces and a range of leather jackets. The collection also nods to clothsurgeon’s customizing roots with patchwork pieces including striped shirts, suede jackets and technical trousers.
Take a look through the lookbook in the gallery above. The “It’s a Lie” collection will release via the clothsurgeon web store in July.
