Watch Rejjie Snow Float Away in "Cookie Chips" Featuring MF Doom and Cam O'bi
In a Machine Operated-directed music video.
Irish rapper Rejjie Snow has dropped “Cookie Chips” featuring MF Doom and Cam O’bi, alongside an accompanying Machine Operated-directed music video.
“Cookie Chips” was featured on the BBC Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac‘s set on July 13 as her Hottest Record in the World — and rightly so. The tune is equal parts psychedelic and chilled, yet brings in MF Doom for some more chilled but slightly more hard-hitting bars.
The lyrics sit against a floaty, relaxed synth-supported backing track that adds to the overarching psychedelic theme. This is matched in the music video, which follows Snow as he walks through woodlands and fields wearing bunny ears while holding a huge cluster of balloons, which eventually lift him off the ground and take him towards the sky.
“I love making music & creating moments,” says Snow in a press release. “It feels good to bring out this song in such an unaccustomed time and begin this new chapter in a solid and happy place.”
