size? Unveils Carnaby Street-Inspired Nike Air Zoom Spiridon Cage 2
Celebrating the area’s colorful past.
After previewing a pair of new adidas releases, U.K.-based footwear specialist size? has now revealed an upcoming collaboration with Nike. For this release — part of the retailer’s 20th anniversary celebrations — size? has taken inspiration from London’s Carnaby Street for a take on the Air Zoom Spiridon Cage 2 silhouette.
The sneaker sports a brightly-colored palette, a reference to Carnaby Street’s colorful past. This influence is translated into a white upper offset with hits of bright pink, yellow and blue. The sneaker is also notable through its mixed-material construction, which includes panels of mesh, suede and leather.
Finishing off the sneaker is an embroidered “Welcomes the World” patch on the heel, a nod to the “Carnaby Street Welcomes the World” sign installed in 1973. This is also referenced through a matching apparel capsule comprising of a T-shirt and hoodie.
Currently, there is no official release date for the size? x Nike Air Zoom Spiridon Cage 2 “Carnaby,” but keep an eye out for more info in the near future.
