Themed around “les clochards célestes.”

French label Reception has unveiled its Fall/Winter 2020 collection, featuring nods to Los Angeles and the work of legendary author Jack Kerouac. The core theme of the collection comes from traveling and meeting new people, with a particular inspiration from L.A., which the Reception team first visited in September 2019.

Elsewhere, the collection features references to the idea of “les clochards célestes,” from the French translation of Kerouac’s book, The Dharma Bums. Kerouac is also alluded to through lyrics that relate to his work, including “no break, no job, no sense,” and “young, tough and terrible,” featuring as graphics.

The collection itself sees Reception return to its regular pieces, such as contrasting rugby shirts, embroidered coach jackets and graphic T-shirts. Additionally, the collection features the brand’s first-ever five pocket denim jacket which has been made in Yokohama, Japan.

Keep an eye out for the full FW20 collection to release via the Reception web store and at select stockists including Goodhood in the near future.
