BLAHW FW20 Looks for Elegance in Chaos

BLAHW, led by Takashi Hiratsuka, presents its collection lookbook for Fall/Winter 2020. Inspired by the melancholic characters of mid-’90s British films, the “Elegant in a careless” collection tells a story of having something complete and unassumingly perfect, but at the same time exists a feeling of emptiness and an unpersisting void.
The collection is made up of delicate pieces crafted from high-quality fabrics where, when worn together, express lines and silhouette with a glimmer and sense of transparency. Knits are bolstered using extra-thick threads and meshed together using techniques that rely on traditional Japanese paper. Against the rough details rests a harmonious collection that’s emphasized via earthy tones and muted pastels.
