Porsche Design Launches Custom Program to Build Your Own Watch
Boasting 1.5 million different combinations.

Porsche Design is now taking their watchmaking experience to the next level, offering a full customization process for watch and car enthusiasts to build their very own timepiece from the bottom up, hoping to allow 911 owners to create watches that match with their cars.
Based on the brand’s Chronotimer Series 1, the process will allow you to tailor various parts of the watch to your liking, including custom-built dials and bezels, six different winding rotors to choose from, personalized laser engravings on the caseback, and over 300 configurations for strap combos. Altogether, Porsche Design says that there are up 1.5 million different configurations possible for your watch.
“No other car manufacturer or watch brand currently offers a program of this kind. The colors, types of leather, and decorative stitching on these chronographs all originate from automotive production,” says Jan Becker, CEO of Porsche Design Group. “We have come full circle: Ferdinand Alexander Porsche laid the foundation of the Porsche Design brand in 1972 with the Chronograph 1 after having previously designed the Porsche 911 and now we are taking the next logical step and are applying the principles of sports car engineering to the production of our Swiss-made wristwatches. The Porsche Design custom-built Timepieces program is making the dream of many 911 drivers come true.”
Porsche Design’s new Custom-Built Timepieces Program is now already running in Germany and will arrive in the U.S. and U.K. markets later this year in September. To learn more about it, you can head over to the company’s website.
