Jude Law Reportedly in Talks to Play Captain Hook for Disney's Live-Action 'Peter Pan'
Could the film be Disney’s next billion-dollar hit?

Jude Law could be suiting up as the notorious Neverland villain Captain Hook for Disney‘s upcoming live-action remake of Peter Pan.
According to reports, Law is currently in talks to play the iconic antagonist in the studio’s forthcoming film, Peter Pan & Wendy. If the English actor does sign on, he will be following in the footsteps of Dustin Hoffman in 1991’s Hook, Jason Isaacs in 2003’s Peter Pan and Garrett Hedlund in 2015’s Pan.
Peter Pan & Wendy will be helmed by director David Lowery and is expected to receive a theatrical release rather than a direct-to-Disney+ route. The studio’s 1953 animated film remains to be the most successful adaptation of J.M. Barrie’s novel so far; the other live-action revamps from Steven Spielberg and Joe Wright tanked at the box office.
Disney’s push for more live-action adaptations stems from the success of Aladdin and The Lion King grossing $1 billion USD at the global box office.
Elsewhere in entertainment, TRON 3 is back in development once again.
