Fiorucci Looks to Formula 1 and an Italian Roadtrip for Pre-Spring 2021
Including Daniel W. Fletcher’s second menswear collection for the label.
Fiorucci has revealed its Pre-Spring 2021 collection, including the second collection from Menswear Artistic Director Daniel W. Fletcher as well as a womenswear selection. Both the mens and womenswear collections reinterpret house codes and new influences. For the Spring/Summer 2021 collection, Fletcher has taken particular inspiration from the world of Formula 1 and a road trip around Italy.
Referencing the Formula 1 theme, stand-out pieces include swim shorts, denim jackets and jeans covered in an all-over print of Fiorucci motifs, recalling the sponsor’s logos on F1 cars. Elsewhere, the signature Fiorucci angels feature prominently, appearing on shirting and racing helmets, as well as over laid onto the Italian flag.
Other key pieces in this seasonal collection include Knit Graphic Racing Tank in red and pink, a satin racing bomber with matching gym shorts and leather racing pants. Launching the collection, Fiorucci described the references to Formula 1 as “a thrilling mix of go faster vinyls, checkerboard knits, car printed denim and iconic tyvek boilersuits.”
