Feng Chen Wang Reworks the Converse Jack Purcell for FW20
Releasing alongside a capsule of asymmetrical apparel and accessories.
Feng Chen Wang has continued her ongoing partnership with Converse through an all-new Jack Purcell collaboration for Fall/Winter 2020. Originally unveiled as part of the designers London Fashion Week show earlier this year, the sneaker features segmentation and a traditional Chinese basket weaving technique across its upper.
The Feng Chen Wang x Converse Jack Purcell is constructed from suede and leather, with the two materials featuring in an exaggerated layered upper. Subtle details include three Mandarin characters spelling out the designer’s name, which make up the layers of the upper. The sneaker is set to release in either black or “Sea Salt” colorways.

Alongside the footwear, Feng Chen Wang and Converse are also due to release a range of apparel and accessories. This capsule features a selection of asymmetrical pieces, including a jacket, vest, shorts, pants and short sleeve T-shirts, as well as a cap and cross-body bag.
Speaking about the inspiration for the collection, Feng Chen Wang told HYPEBAE, “Although I have been living in London for 10 years, I always refer back to my home, to where I have come from and who I am. Incorporating my Chinese heritage is very important to me.”
