Bear Grylls' New Show Tackles the 'World's Toughest Race'
Spanning across 671 km in 11 days.
Former SAS serviceman, famed survivalist and popular television personality Bear Grylls is back at it again with yet another extreme adventure, this time coming in the form of a race show on Amazon.
Named World’s Toughest Race: Eco Challenge Fiji, the show will feature 66 teams from across 30 different countries, all sharing the same goal: to win the ultimate survivalist race. The contest itself will span across a staggering 671 kilometers in the South Pacific island, which must be completed over the course of 11 days. Each team will have four members and one assistant crew member, totaling 330 people. With only maps and compasses at their disposal, the contestants will traverse all kinds of terrain through various methods including mountain biking, climbing and rappelling, whitewater rafting, outrigger paddling, pack rafting, and paddle boarding, leaving no man behind. One participant even recounted how he had only slept for four hours in four days just to stay competitive.
For the survivalist fans out there, the 10-episode season of Bear Grylls’ World’s Toughest Race: Eco Challenge Fiji will arrive on Amazon on August 14.
