Berluti Offers Custom Beach Buggy for Special Order
Inspired by the artisanal craft of some of the brand’s most sophisticated products.

Riding around in a dune buggy is as fun as it gets when it comes to exploring deserts or beach sands. Berluti looks to offer its own sophisticated interpretation of the vehicle with details echoing the brand’s artisanal ethos. Envisioned by design director Kris Van Assche, this special item is said to evoke the “rebellious and carefree lifestyle of 1960’s Southern California.”
Berluti’s buggy channels the original Meyers Max buggy model. It’s crafted with a polyester shell fitted on a Volkswagen Beetle chassis. The house’s exquisite Venezia patinated leather can be found on the seats as well as the steering wheel and dashboard. Additionally, the top is removable and features the design of Van Assche’s canvas pattern. Berltuti’s logos can be seen throughout the exterior and interior as well, and for those concerned about performance, this ride is powered by an air-cooled 1600cc that generates 90 horsepower.
