Balmain's New High-Rise BBOLD Range Embodies Innovative Sneaker Design

Balmain is stepping it up a notch this Spring with its new double-soled BBOLD sneaker collection, designed with the intention of uplifting the world’s creators, disruptive thinkers and eclectic innovators. Unconventional in both its design and approach towards the luxury sneaker market, the line represents an era of complete reinvention for the Balmain brand, an exploration of new territory where confidence and boldness reign.

The BBOLD collection consists of a range of low-top and high-top sneakers, each of which sits atop two independent soles fused into one bold architectural structure. As well as its daringness in silhouette shape and height, the range references several familiar Balmain house codes: small accents of gold across the upper and midsole, the house’s monogram and “B” logo placed across the sides of each BBOLD design, and a focus on detail and expert craftsmanship that’s pertinent to Balmain’s definition of ‘luxury’.

Olivier Rousteing, Creative Director of Balmain, sees the new BBOLD collection as “a reflection of the Balmain world“, a world in which “you want to be who you are, and where you can be yourself and be confident at the same time”.
