Alicia Keys Graces the NPR Tiny Desk Concert Series With New and Classic Songs
Including her 2001 hit “Fallin’” and the premiere of “Gramercy Park.”
NPR has dropped off the Tiny Desk Concert performance of Alicia Keys. Filmed in February 2020, the singer-songwriter was joined by RAII and Whitney on backup vocals, Ant Parrish on bass, Curt Chambers on guitar, Mike Reid on drums and Omar Edwards on keys.
The GRAMMY winner kicked off her set with “Show Me Love,” an uplifting cut that’s needed now more than ever. Stepping away from her piano, Keys followed it up with the debut of her ALICIA cut “Gramercy Park,” explaining how we can lose ourselves in an attempt to make others happy. She closed out her supposed three-song set with her latest release “Underdog,” however the crowd called for an encore and Keys delivered a refreshing version of her 2001 hit, “Fallin’.”
