Young M.A. Gets in "Savage Mode" for New Music Video
The first visual to come off her recently released EP ‘Red Flu.’
Last week, Young M.A. dropped her highly-anticipated seven-track EP titled Red Flu. This week, the Brooklyn-based rapper follows up the release with a new music video for the track “Savage Mode.”
Directed by ShotByCisco, the visuals see Young M.A. riding through the streets of New York City with her friends and enjoying their company amid the pandemic. Like other tracks on Red Flu, “Savage Mode” shows the more aggressive side of the rapper. “All my haters want me dead, that’s why I live it up/Put a price right on his head don’t start no sh*t with us,” she raps. “It’s a table full of bread, no you can’t sit with us/Cause you ain’t been with us, you ain’t no day one.”
The music video is the first visual to be released from Red Flu. Young M.A. spoke about her album to Complex: “There’s been a lot of frustration with this quarantine. I had a lot of time on my hands, so I was able to focus on writing music, listening to beats, and having time to myself. It’s just something to give to my fans. They need it.”

Elsewhere, Lil Yachty dropped a music video for his two-part single “Split/Whole Time.”
