After releasing an arrangement of reconstructed bandana patchwork beach bum bags from its Spring/Summer 2020 collection, KAPITAL has unveiled two new snufkin boro bags for this season. Constructed from nylon and cotton, the bags serve as lightweight options for the warmer months ahead.
The first bag is a transcription of the delicate texture of boro — textiles that have been mended or patched together — creating the illusion that it’s joined together by various cloths of indigo hues. KAPITAL transforms the centuries-old technique of Japanese boro into a durable nylon that gives the bag a sporty, lightweight feel. Its counterpart boasts a Japanese Ainu design in an earthy green, black and brown colorway. Each boro bag comes with a zip compartment and adjustable strap.
Priced at ¥14,080 JPY (approx. $130 USD), the bags are available now on KAPITAL’s website.
