Tyler, The Creator's "BOYFRIEND" Single Is Finally Available Digitally
The ‘IGOR’ physical exclusive features Charlie Wilson and Santigold.
Tyler, The Creator has dropped off his “BOYFRIEND” single via YouTube to celebrate the one year anniversary of his GRAMMY Award winning project.
The song originally appeared exclusively on his IGOR physical releases as an extended version of track number four, the interlude titled “EXACTLY WHAT YOU RUN FROM YOU END UP CHASING” featuring a voiceover from comedian and actor Jerrod Carmichael. “BOYFRIEND” features Charlie Wilson and Santigold.
Since IGOR‘s release a calendar year ago, Tyler has kept busy, winning a Kodak Film Award for his latest batch of music videos alongside the likes of Quentin Tarantino, Noah Baumbach and Greta Gerwig. He joined Jim Carrey to star alongside the actor in his KIDDING Showtime series. Unfortunately, Tyler did reveal that another Odd Future project is unlikely. He even took time out of his post-GRAMMY performance and speech to thoughtfully accuse the award show of racial bias with his “Urban” category win.
There’s no word on if the full song and alternate tracklist will arrive on other traditional streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music, but stay tuned. In more music updates, Future scored his seventh No. 1 Billboard 200 album debut with last week’s High Off Life.
