Build Your Own The North Face Wallet Using Just Cardboard
A short step-by-step tutorial with artist Fuyuki Shimazu.
The North Face Japan has teamed up with artist Fuyuki Shimazu for a simple step-by-step tutorial on how to make your very own The North Face wallet. It’s a fun, sustainable craft that anyone with cardboard can do from the comforts of his/her home. This is just one of many environmental endeavors that The North Face has been adamantly tackling like its Remade Collection unveiled last month which upcycled old garments for Earth Day.
The video runs at a little under the two-minute mark and begins by flattening out a black and brown shoebox from The North Face. Shimazu narrates the video, explaining first that a pair of scissors, ruler, cutter and glue are recommended. The brand also shared the pattern of the wallet on its dedicated website so people at home can recreate the accessory in its exact shape. Simply trace the pattern onto the cardboard and cut along the outlines and follow the rest of the video’s folding instructions to complete the piece.
