Preservation Taps Quelle Chris For New Single "Rose Royce"
The superproducer’s forthcoming album arrives on May 29.

After teaming up with Navy Blue for “North Bridge” earlier this month, New York superproducer Preservation has now shared his latest single from his forthcoming album, Eastern Medicine, Western Illness. Titled “Rose Royce,” the new cut features Detroit rap veteran Quelle Chris, who delivers some raspy bars atop of Preservation’s quirky old school instrumental.
Eastern Medicine, Western Illness — which arrives on May 29 — was holistically produced during Preservation’s time living in Hong Kong, which led to him deep-diving into the project’s Eastern influences. His most recent project came in the form of 2018’s February 4th full-length, which followed 2013’s Old Numbers.
